Running through the center of the park from the (then) front gate to the Gingerbread Fancy restaurant, Dream Street was designed as the central avenue that would draw guests into the the park |
| View from what would become the Front Gate, the first of the four tent buildings is in place along a very muddy looking Dream Street. The black building off to the left is the restroom building, and a section of orange track for the Log Flume sits in the mud awaiting placement atop the supports |

Workers stand on Dream Street in front of the future site of the Flying Wave. In the background you can see streetlights are already in place despite the fact the street is still unpaved. The restroom building and Pretty Monster appear to be complete at this point |
| As opening day draws nearer, the view from the Front Gate shows the tent buildings looking nearly complete though the concrete pavement has yet to be poured. The two wooden forms in the foreground will be used to create footers for the large posts that will hold the banner across the gates |

Workers create wood forms around the hundreds of trees lining Dream Street prior to the pouring of the concrete. An effort was made to keep as many trees as possible to maintain the forest feel of "The Enchanted Forest" and part of that effort involved paving around the trees, with cutouts left where a porous paving material was applied right up to the trunks, creating a hard surface which could stand up to pedestrian traffic, yet allow water to get to the tree roots and allow for growth |
| Workers pour the concrete walkways of Dream Street. The reinforcing steel sitting at the left will be incorporated to create a walkway that can stand up to years of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. In the background a scaffold is in place on the Giant Wheel as workers attach the lights |

It's almost opening day, and Dream Street is fully paved with the banners and streetlights in place. The large expanses of grass would eventually be paved as walkways were crowded when the park opened, and needed to be expanded |
